tragedy makers
I started to love tragedy films after I watched a film called film The Seven Samurai (1954) by Akira Kurosawa. Maybe tragedy stories are easy to remember or maybe I watch too many comedy before it.
In Jackie Chan films, he done a great job then become a hero almost every time. It forms the concept of what heroes should be. In the film The Seven Samurai heroes fight for people but finally no one care them. It impact my concept so I started to think much for a film.
Later I watch other tragedy films of Akira Kurosawa, Ran(1985) and Dream(1990). Some film critic said only despair in his film. I think he is making a question in film Ran, when every things goes wrong what should we do. The film Dream is looking for answer.
